Is your thumb not as green as you wish it were. Looking for some plant like beauty in your home. You should consider buying some artificial flowers instead of the real thing.

Artificial flowers have come along way in recent years. At times, you will be hard pressed to tell the difference between a real plant and one made of plastic or silk. Some are so realistic you may find visitors bending to sniff your flowers before they realize they aren’t real.

No watering or fertilization is required when your house is full of artificial flowers. They may only require a little dusting from time to time. This can be talented by using a slightly damp wash cloth or rag to wipe down large leaves and petals. When it comes to buying artificial flowers you should know that the more you pay the better and more real looking they will be. The roses at Wal Mart will not look as real as ones purchased from a specialty shop.

When shopping for your artificial flowers, don’t forget to buy some green to go with them. You can find real looking greenery in almost any type to accent your flower arrangement. The shades of greenery vary from the very lightest green to deep emerald green and every other shade of green in between.

There are more uses for artificial flowers than just putting them in a vase and displaying them in your home. They can be used for all kind of crafts as well. Many use them for adorning wreaths or strands of flowers can be used to living up material and doorways.

Just about any variety of flowers can be found if you know where to look. Craft stores like Michaels have a huge variety of common and foreign artificial flowers from which you can choose. They also come in uncommon colors and sizes.

Go for variety when choosing artificial flowers to decorate your home. Choose a color from your decorating theme and choose your flowers in the same color. You can design your own bouquet or you can choose from some that are put together by store employees.

Some artificial flowers can be washed. I wouldn’t throw them into the washing machine, but if the pedals are becoming yellow or dusty, you can try to gently wipe them down with a light duty detergent. Use special care with silk flowers because they are more delicate than plastic.

Artificial flowers are a great choice for someone who wants to add some color to their home. If your natural plants seem to die on you as soon as you get them home, this is the perfect alternative. Not only will they last a long time, no one may be able to tell the difference.
