List-Building: How To Exploit A Teleseminar To Its Fullest Potential

What topic are you thinking about working in? What if you get four people to agree to do teleseminars with you?

For instance, if you're into real estate renting, find the top four people whom you can get your hands on who are experts in speaking about owning rental properties. Or, if you're into health and wellness, find the top four people in that.

Undoubtedly, they probably all have lists, and they're probably big lists. That's great because they can advertise to their lists for you, and build your list at the same time.

Create a squeeze page for a teleconference that reads: “Enter your name and email address, and you will get access to live training with blah blah, blah blah, and blah blah. Such-and-so will teach you about this. Such-and-so will do this. You’ll get access to LIVE training.”

Have all your partners promote the teleconference to their lists in the same week, if you can. And it doesn't hurt to have them send out to their lists more than once.

Be sure to record the call and have it transcribed.

Let a few months pass, and say, “There is an awesome training happening tonight. Click on this link to register.” When people click on the link and fill out the squeeze page to register for the call, it says, “Call this number tonight at 9 PM.” You've just recycled the teleconference call to grow your list even bigger.

When your new list members call the number, the recording of the call starts. But don't tell anyone that it’s live, if it’s not live. Never, ever lie to people. Just tell them that the training is happening "tonight," and a number that they can call into. If it’s the same training and it works really well, and if everyone loves it and it makes money, too, then why not give it to people in that form? It's still a viable information product and another great way to increase the size of your list.

Can you give it to people in a webpage? Sure. Could you do a podcast? Absolutely. Could you transcribe it and create an ebook that you could sell? Yes. Can you take the recordings and make a CD set and sell the CD set? Absolutely. Can you turn it into a viral product? Yes. Any of these ways are great for delivering information and helping people learn about marketing online. They benefit from the call and you benefit by getting new people on your list.

You can do any or all of those things. It’s just a matter of what you’re going to do with the information once you have it. I wouldn’t worry about it right now. Record everything and then get it transcribed so you have it!
