It doesn’t have to be a perfect grammar. When you think about the association of the subject, it seems that it doesn’t support the predicate. There are even similar examples such as this one that makes no sense at all. Anyway, the chosen words here are Monday and the word lune which means crescent. Monday and lune is linked together in the sentence above because the Spanish meaning of Monday is Lunes. The example may appear strange but behind the strangeness is the link between the English words and the Spanish translation to for easier retention.
