Best time to clean your bathroom – take advantage of that fresh out of the shower dew that’s just settled all over your bathroom. No need to fill a bucket full of water, just take a paper towel and wipe off the loosened dirt.

Cleaning bathroom tile and grout – one of the hardest things to clean in any bathroom is tile and that dirty grout that over time looks more and more gross.

To clean ceramic tile: mix 1 part vinegar with 4 parts water, or, make a solution of water conditioner and water. Wipe down with a soft cloth. Rinse tile thoroughly. Buff with a soft dry cloth.

To clean bathroom grout: add 3/4 cup chlorine bleach to 1 gallon of water. Put on rubber gloves and using a toothbrush, wash grout with bleach solution. Rinse grout well.

Cleaning bathroom floor – a fast way to clean your bathroom floor is to apply a spray disinfectant to the floor and wipe off with paper towels or a clean cloth.

How to clean a clogged showerhead – to get rid of accumulated mineral deposits on a showerhead, remove the showerhead and take it apart. Soak the pieces in a bowl of vinegar. Take a toothbrush and clean out remaining sediment. Replace showerhead.

Cleaning toilet bowl ring – get rid of that dirty ring around the toilet by pouring some chlorine bleach into the toilet bowl and letting it sit for a few minutes. Flush to rinse. This method rivals the best commercial toilet bowl cleaner.

Cleaning a fiberglass bath tub – fiberglass tubs can be a little harder to clean than other types. A water conditioner like Calgon works well for these types of tubs.

Clean dull shower door – clean dull shower doors with a cloth saturated with distilled white vinegar or water softener. Buff dry with a clean cloth.

Cleaning plastic shower curtains – machine wash plastic curtains in warm water with a water conditioner like Calgon. Hang dry. For mildewed curtains add 3/4 cup chlorine bleach to wash cycle.

Removing nonskid rubber tub decals – remove these sticky decals with a straightedge razor (in a holder) that has been dipped in soapy water. Remove remaining residue with nail polish remover.
