About three years ago, I received a vacation offer in the mail. The offer said that if I agreed to sit through a 90 minute timeshare presentation, then I would get a free Bahamas vacation with several days in Florida. A free vacation sounded very appealing to me at that time because I was desperate for a getaway. I decide to accept the offer so I purchased my airfare and began to look forward to my Bahamas vacation. I thought that I could easily sit through 90 minutes of the presentation, say no, and be done with it.

I was really looking forward to the promised luxury hotel, free transportation and tickets to some happenings. My husband had some doubts about the offer but he was still as excited as I was. He told me that this might turn out to be something other than I was expecting, even though he was also looking forward to his time in the sun.

On the other hand, I was busy dreaming about the enjoyment, fun and relaxation of the amazing Bahamas vacation offer. We were to take a day cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas and then would be greeted when we arrive. I have been told to expect a cruise that was incredibly nice on the offer. However, I felt like I was on a tour boat with lots of others crowded into a small area. I was not very impressed with the initial part of my vacation.

Unfortunately, my husband’s suspicions seemed to be coming true because we spent the day with horrible entertainment, expensive food and fighting for a spot in the sun. My Bahamas vacation wasn't starting off too wonderfully. However, I played it off because I didn't want my husband to know that I was starting to have doubts.

We finally arrived at the port in the Bahamas after a less than pleasant journey. We were driven to our designated hotel and I couldn't wait to see what the hotel was like. However, my Bahamas vacation was still not going well because the hotel was far from luxury. It was nice, but not something I would have paid to stay at so I was very disappointed.

However, I was determined to make the most of my vacation and enjoy it. We spent lots of time in the sun and did the normal touristy things. I convinced my husband to go with me on the dolphin excursion. It was a wonderful experience and we actually got to swim with the dolphins. That was the best part of my Bahamas vacation.

We showed up for our 90 minute meeting on the day of the timeshare meeting. It was a bit annoying because the speeches were very long, pushy and lasted for almost 3 hours. It almost seemed as if they wouldn't let us leave until someone took the bait. My husband decided that he had enough after 3 agonizing hours, so he stood up and said that we were leaving. My Bahamas vacation was not exactly what I'd been hoping for.
