Hi- if you are like most people who try to make it on the internet, you have undoubtedly bought several programs in the hopes of making a living online. You read about how others have successfully become wealthy online with only a few hours a day. Yet, when you give it a try, you are met with disappointment. Does this sound familiar?

Well, what is going on that separates the successful from the not successful? Let’s take a look at the top 5 reasons the ‘not successful’ struggle to reach the top.

1- Vision - when you look at the top performers on the internet you often wonder how they did it. Especially if you are trying to do the same thing. One of the first things they have in their toolbox is vision. They are able to see what it is they want. They not only can visualize what it is they want, they realize that by having this vision it will lead to setting goals and formulating a game plan that often leads to success. So to start the money making machine on it’s path, they visualize not only what they want but how to get there. They also are able to visualize what it is that people want and therefore go after the niche markets that are associated with it. To start the ball rolling, concentrate on vision which will lead to goals.

2- Goals - where would we be without goals? Simple. On a ship without a paddle, without direction. Without vision. I bet that you have not gathered a list of goals for your previous projects, have you. The truly successful internet moguls set down on paper what it is they want to accomplish. They start out with simple goals and then run campaigns to gauge where they are. After running campaigns they are able to see where it is they need improvement to make even more money. They tweak and they adjust until they get it right. But without these goals to gauge their progress, they would have no way of knowing what they need to do. So quite simply, the unsuccessful people simply do not have a plan or goals.

3- Persistence - One of my favorites. Persistence is a major key in the internet game. Ninety percent of people simply throw in the towel when the going gets tough. They figure they were right in their doubts and this definitely proves it. Wrong! Everyone goes through tough times, some more then others. However, it is the ones that stay on the path who succeed. You can’t give up and you must have persistence. Don’t give up!

4- Hard work. Along with persistence is hard work. You heard me right. Hard work. Most people think that simply throwing up a website will produce income. Nothing could be further from the truth. Not only do you have to apply the principles above but you must be willing to put in the hard work of writing articles, advertising, and tweaking your marketing campaign. If you devote yourself to hard work and stay the course, you will give yourself an opportunity to succeed.

5- Patience. You have to be able to exercise patience. Sometimes it takes awhile to get the ball rolling. If you become anxious and impatient, you undoubtedly give up once again. We see it over and over again. The truly successful didn’t get there by accident. They applied the principles I have outlined for you and didn’t give up.

Don’t be fooled by the quick rich schemes that exist online today. Promises of overnight riches just by slapping up a website. You must exercise these five principles of vision, goals, persistence, hard work, and above all patience. If you do this, you will succeed.
