The housing market in most of the country seems to be sluggish in recent months. With the impact of increasing interest rates and the busting of some markets such states as California, New York and Florida are seeing a slowing. The southwest portion if not the entire Houston Texas area seems to be bucking that trend.

For the third and forth quarters of 2006 the Katy area surrounding the west section of I-10 has been the number one producing area according to the accounting of Prudential Gary Greene. Sugar Land is still strong at number 3. Both areas are in Fort Bend County.

Fort Bend County encompasses such cities as Sugar Land, Katy, Fulshear, Richmond, Rosenberg, Needville and some other towns. It stretches over a number of freeways; the two most traveled being Interstate 10 and US 59. The oustanding growth is now pushing it self as well into the outlying areas of Simonton, Brookshire, West Columbia, with the expansion seemingly endless. Acreage properties have been all the rage with the "home on the range" feel while still being close to entertainment, shopping and work.

Katy Texas is seeing outstanding growth to the recent construction on I-10 that will widen it to 13 lanes. There has also been another freeway connecting to the heart of Houston which is the Westpark Tollroad. This now enables people a choice for the first time for traveling east through Houston.

Sugar Land was voted 3rd best place to live by Money Magazine and new construction is continually happening. With all of this growth it is understandable how important finding the right realtor can be.

With experience in homes and land and also having a background in business administration, Linda Landman has successfully marketed and sold in excess of $1 Million Dollars in properties in 2006 alone. From a background in pre-foreclosures, land listings and residential homes her portfolio suggests the well rounded individual you would need to successfully market and satisfy all your real estate needs.
