There are various means of transportation in Dublin and Ireland. There is a vast network of buses, railways, taxis and cars available in the city. All you have to do is to call the operator to find out about the nearest pickup location or station for your desired means of transportation. Even today you can travel by ferries and using water means.

An easy and energetic approach for travelling the city is by bicycle. However, luxury transport is also available for your comfort; Dublin car rentals offer the best cars for hire, catering to your needs, style and comfort at reasonable rates. Besides these car rental services, there are also taxi stands available almost in every part of the city.

Dublin also has its own Tram system, known as the Dublin LUAS Tram system, which connects to all other parts of Dublin with the city centre. It is convenient and comfortable because it gives access to all the stops. Using the bus service or the rail is a good idea if you want to get the real feel of the city life in Dublin.

Dublin Rail service

The rail service provided by the State transport company is a regular service. It is available at Leisure fares, Commuter travel fares and UK and European rail fares. In addition to this is DART, Dublin Area Rapid Transport which provides fast service along the coastline of Dublin Bay.

Dublin Bus service

Dublin Bus provides its service throughout the week from 6 in the morning to 11 at night. The late night service from midnight to 4 in the morning is only provided on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There are also specific site-seeing buses for tourists’ ease.

Dublin Airlines

There are a number of international airlines serving Dublin and Ireland. The Dublin International Airport is situated just 12 km north of the city. For a list of airlines serving Ireland, or to book a flight to Dublin, visit the airlines section at Dublin Events.

Car Ferries and Water ways

Car ferry services are available at 3 ferry terminals located just 2 miles from Dublin City Centre. Travelling by ferry gives tourists a chance to see the majestic sights of Dublin. So if you are crazy about water, you should travel by ferries when coming to Dublin or take a tour of Dublin.

Once you are in Dublin, it will not take long to get a proper means of transport. However, if you would rather plan well and prefer avoiding any last minute hassle of being stranded, then just log on to Dublin Events transport section. You can even book a car online or become familiar with all the locations where you are likely to find transport.
