One of Apple's more recent incarnations of the iPod makes movies, music, and TV programs more portable than ever before. However, before you go out and purchase all the latest flicks there are some things you might want to consider. Things such as movie selection, ergonomics, and compatibility are a few that come to mind, these things should not be taken lightly. Although it is possible to download movies on your iPod, it might not be enjoyable trying to watch for a long period of time.

One common complaint seen in most reviews is that it can get to be somewhat uncomfortable to hold the video iPod in a position where you can actually view the screen. Most shows are 30-60 minutes long, but do you really want to watch movies on your iPod for these extended periods of time? Probably not! However, for short sessions of 15-30-minute video clips are no big deal.

You need to make sure the movie or video you want to watch are formatted for your particular iPod. Service from the big guns in the industry such as iTunes and ipod downloads professional is usually very reliable but some of the smaller download sites may have very slow download times and poor picture quality.

Some iPod download sites offer movie downloads, but don't expect all the special extras you get when you play a DVD at home. Usually, it is the movie, end of story. No photo galleries or cut scenes etc. You probably wouldn't want t use up precious file space for that anyway.

While there are still some aspects of the iPod experience that can be improved, iPod entertainment has really evolved and taken portable entertainment to new levels. You can even buy upgraded headphones for your ipod to get a better quality sound.
