The Upper West Side claims some of the world's finest street addresses and the most prestigious buildings, such as Central Park West, West End Avenue and Riverside Drive. It contains many pre-war row houses that have been converted into multiple-unit co-ops and rental apartment buildings. If you are interested in art and nightlife, visit Chelsea. This area also has a large gay population.

It has advantages of buying real property as an investment as well as a place to live. Manhattan is attractive to investors, employers and residents, too. It is quite conceivable for an investor to make profits as high as 50%, 100%, or even more on the money invested in a relatively short period of time.
