Flowers are beautiful, and many people love them. Many relish the opportunity to create beautiful gardens every spring. They take the necessary time, effort and money to plant and grow extremely attractive and plentiful flowers. People enjoy gardening for many different reasons. Some enjoy it because it’s a great way to relax, clear the mind and relieve stress. These gardeners enjoy the tranquility of working hands-on with something in nature that helps to relieve stress in many individuals. And when the garden in all done, and in full-bloom, they can sit back and admire what they’ve done to enhance nature’s natural beauty, as well as their home.

Another reason why people may choose to garden is simply to compete with the rest of their neighbors. They may not necessarily enjoy the actual act of gardening, but they want their yard to have gardens as attractive as their neighbors’, so that they won’t be the ‘oddball.’ A person could also want to plant a lovely garden in order to make the house appear more inviting and attractive to potential buyers, if they are trying to sell currently or in the near future.

Of course there are the people who make a living by selling the flowers that they grow. That is a nice, legitimate and rewarding way to make a living, but some people don’t just grow and sell flowers—they grow and sell something else: Marijuana. This mind-altering drug is of course illegal in most of the United States, but that doesn’t stop people from choosing to buy and sell this substance. Some people only grow flower gardens to conceal the fact that they’re growing marijuana, right in their own backyards, and right under their neighbors’ noses.

Sadly, there are probably as many people who are looking to buy marijuana as there are who want to purchase flowers, which can make for quite a lucrative business for those who are audacious enough to do it. Some people may simply choose to grow the illegal plant in their garden in order to have access to it any time they choose to smoke it and become high. If caught growing this substance in one’s backyard, though, one can be in a lot of trouble with the law, and even risk jail time. Growing marijuana is a very serious crime, and people should think about the consequences before they decide to do something like this.
