You already probably write many emails each day, and I’m sure sometimes those emails get forwarded to others. If when you sign your name at the bottom you also put your website, you have a good chance of someone clicking on them as at least most of the people receiving your emails probably know you. As these emails get passed around, your website will get passed around as well.

Something very similar to this can be done on forums. If you have a bunch of forums you write on, when you make a post, put your websites address after you sign your name there as well. If people value what you post, they might be interested in going to your website to see what else you have to say. This works especially well if the forum topic is similar to what your website is about. If you don’t belong to many forums, you can always search on Google to find forums that are about topics similar to your website. You don’t want to spam the forums, but if you find you can help someone by responding to their post, there is nothing wrong with putting your website in your signature.

Another way to get your websites name out there is to look for sites on similar topics. Once you find a few, send them an email and see if they would be interested in doing a link exchange. You would put a link to their website on yours, and they would put a link to your website on theirs. This way people who are interested in the topic but don’t know about your site might find it. It also looks good with search engine rankings, since sites on similar topics are linking to yours.

There are many sites that will allow you to post classified ads for free. This can be another great place to get some free exposure for your website. This works especially well if you have something to offer on your website, like a free report, or something like that. But it is definitely a nice easy way to get your sites name out there, and of course get another link back to your site.

Another free way to get traffic to your website is to write articles. If you can provide information that others find useful, they may be interested in going to your website to see what else you have to say. On many article directories, you can post a bio which is where you will put your website link. If someone decides to put your article on their website, it will still include that link, so hopefully even more people will get the chance to see your article and come visit your site.

There are many ways to get traffic to your website, all without costing a cent. All you have to do is think of ways that you can be helpful to others, and give them good information, and most likely they will be interested in visiting your website to see what else you have to say.
