Aaron Brandon

In March of 2006 I started my own personal blog which talks about a mixture of personal events in my life as well as the other part of my life which involves internet marketing and creating online home study courses.

It's been just over a year now while I'm writing this article, and my blog traffic has been steadily increasing. Until sometime at the end of last year, I noticed that I was leaving out one ultra important element on my blog that can increase the amount of traffic to my site in a large scale.

My blog readers and friends know that I don't pay for the traffic coming to my blog. It's easy enough creating a community with other closely related blogs, forums, and websites. Doing so creates plenty of targeted visitors.

The important element I left out for so long was a web form for my blog readers to give me their names and e-mail addresses so I could e-mail them each time I posted a new blog entry. How could I have ever have left this small but extremely valuable element out for so long? I had seen a similar form on other blogs for a while now, but just didn't think it could make such a huge difference.

Of course, not every visitor or blog reader is going to want to just give you their name and e-mail address. There are still those who are afraid that someone might start spamming them. Then there are those who read your blog every day who can't wait until you publish your next post.

When I finish creating a new course for a specific market, I'll release it as a 24 hours special, or similar timed release. I will offer the new course for about ten dollars. This is used to gather valuable feedback before it is released to anyone else.

Creating such a benefit (like a special) gives an incentive for being on my blog announcement list. As soon as I'm done with a course, an instant notification is sent to all my readers. I may even offer an even lower price for people who are on the list already. Very few blog owners are doing anything like this. Why don't they see the benefit of e-mailing their visitors and getting them back to read the blog?

The last course I created is just the course that these blog owners must get. It's named BlogCastCourse. You can learn step-by-step how you can create an announcement list, even if you don't have a blog yet, because it teach how to get a blog too. You can get started in just a few minutes from now if you'd like. You can be broadcasting messages to new readers in just hours from now, automatically.

The course time is approximately 62 minutes long in online videos shot from my computer screen. It will show you how I set up a blog announcement list starting from scratch (without a website) and had it all completed with about 60 minutes worth of work, and broadcasted my first blog entry. The course can be accessed by going to: http://www.blogcastcourse.com
