Global Communication is evolving fast and it pays to keep up.

Time is money and information is power, never have truer words been said. Nobody is prepared to wait for anything. Access is required immediately, and cost effectively, and why not?

Why not indeed, given that we now have easily affordable and readily available Online Streaming Media Solutions for both personal and business users worldwide. This is proving a major advantage for businesses as they vastly improve their global communication reach and increase that all-important message retention. Today’s broadband availability coupled with this latest technology in streaming media, allows us to experience online video conferences, live broadcasts, live video messaging, video emails, and much more.

Video email for example is a powerful communication tool that is being used with increasing frequency online. This allows you to record a video and send it via email, as per text-based email. The main difference with video emails as opposed to text-based is that you condense the message. When you consider that a 2-minute video email contains approximately the same amount of information as two or three A4 pages of text, you can appreciate just how much more acceptable this becomes to the recipient. Not only is it more palatable than a long email, it is infinitely more memorable, and allows no room for misunderstanding of the message, as can be the case with text-based emails. Message retention is crucial. When we see and hear at the same time we understand and remember much better than simply seeing or just hearing alone.

Online video conferencing services allow regular meetings to be brought to individual’s desktops. The cost and time savings are obvious. Casual internet browsers who wish to simply keep in touch with friends and family, can now use Video Instant Messaging tools, which are easily affordable and readily available.

On-line communications solutions allow you to store, share and publish all your digital media in a variety of formats and distribute it to various places, e.g. send a video via email, instantly upload your video to your blog, podcast both audio and video and broadcast live over the internet (it’s like having your own TV or shopping channel). You can even store all your digital media in a single online digital media studio. No more bulky video files taking up valuable space on your hard drives. With a few simple clicks your latest news is on your websites shouting your message to your marketplace.

Communication is the key to any successful business, online or offline and companies who embrace this new wave of communication technologies will undoubtedly be the at the forefront of their field. Industry analysts predict that over the next 2 – 3 years, most current internet users and online businesses will be using video as a form of communication, especially as these types of online streaming media solutions are about to enter into our homes via a set-top-box style unit which will allow users to video chat and video mail anyone, anywhere in the world via a regular TV – all from the comfort of our living rooms.

When business tools and services become commonplace to personal users and company brands become household names, we know that we will all be using them, and soon. Just think how little time it took for nearly every household worldwide to have it’s own personal computer. Streaming Video is the next step - if you’re not using it yet, you will be soon!
