Practical Anti-wrinkle Secrets Revealed

“Jewelry takes people's minds off your wrinkles,” said the late Norwegian Olympic figure skater Sonja Henie. Unfortunately for the unlucky ones who can't afford to buy expensive jewelry, wrinkles will always remain visible and be a constant reminder of how old a person really is. While some people may be proud of them since they signify age and supposedly wisdom, the rest of womanhood frowns on the idea of having wrinkles and will do everything it can to hide them.

The bad news is that everyone will get wrinkles sooner or later since they are a natural part of the aging process. The good news is you can do something about it. Although wrinkles are inherited, you can prevent them from appearing at an early age. How? Here are some quick tips from Dermaxin, a clinical breakthrough in anti-aging skin care research that helps revitalize your skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by as much as 45 percent:

Stay out the sun. The sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays can wreak havoc on your skin by giving you plenty of wrinkles. To minimize this, avoid prolonged, direct exposure to sunlight and don't go out between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. - the time when UV rays are strongest. If you must go out during that time, wear protective clothing and a hat. And don't forget to use a good sunscreen.

Choose your sunscreen well. Don't settle for anything less than a product with an SPF (sun-protection factor) of 15 or more. Also choose products that block both UVA and UVB rays. Reapply every two to three hours, especially after swimming or perspiring heavily.

Moisten your skin. A good moisturizer can delay the appearance of wrinkles. Choose a product that won't irritate your skin. You can also help moisten the skin by drinking plenty of water.

Don't smoke. Researchers found that smoking robs the skin of moisture and causes a decrease in the production of new collagen. This, in turn, leads to the development of wrinkles. So quit now while you can and be free of numerous diseases and wrinkles.

Avoid repeated facial expressions. Musician Carlos Santana said “Your wrinkles either show that you're nasty, cranky and senile, or that you're always smiling.” And boy is he right! Smiling frowning, squinting, and other facial movements and expressions can give you wrinkles. Each time you use a facial muscle whenever you smile or frown, a groove forms beneath the surface of the skin. Over time as the skin ages, it loses its ability to spring back into shape and that's when wrinkles appear.
