An ancient tool is generally defined like tool more than 100 years (more or less, depending on what you think is antique), but often this definition is employed more in a vague way to refer to any tool built before the Second World War. The use of the tools is one of the average primary educations by which the human ones are distinguished from the animals. The tools are the parents of all other antiquities. The majority of the synthetic objects were made with the use of the tools and the main effort enters the creation of newer and better tools to solve the problems of production of the day.

The study of the ancient tools provides an outline of the human development and cultural preferences by the history. People gather and use the ancient tools for a variety of reasons - some say that they better are made than the modern tools, and carry out their better work. Others appreciate handcrafting that entered their manufacture or their value of rarity or esthetics. Semi-officially, those which prefer tools with hand with the machine tools indicated sometimes under the name of galoots. The creation of a tool often makes the creation possible of the tools advances. The advances tools made the manufacture possible of the engines, the cars, and the computers with internal combustion. In the future the new devices will come in length. But even more advance of the latter the homage to the most fundamental tools with hand for their existence must.

Among those like which to gather, a part can make for part of a rigorous program of study - they want to catalogue all the types of a specific tool, for example. Some collectors can wish to preserve part of last for future generations. Some can gather like investment. Some gather tools to employ them - to be able to create things with them. Others perceive tools like works of art, or attractive mechanical specimen of design.
