I can understand how this could be scary but to grow mold your carpet would have to stay wet for a long period of time, days or even weeks. Carpet cleaners today can get carpets dry in as little as one hour and the norm is no longer than six hours. This myth comes from once again bad carpet cleaners and faulty home cleaning methods.
