Andrea Cardelli

To begin at the beginning, the Uffizi Gallery (Galleria degli Uffizi in Italian) is located in the Palazzo degli Uffizi, a palazzo in Florence, Italy, housing one of the oldest and most famous art museums in the world. Among Italy’s most popular tourist destinations, the museum commonly witnesses enormous queues of people waiting for as long as three hours to buy Uffizi tickets. The good news is that now, thanks to our brand new Uffizi ticket reservation service, you need no longer wait endlessly to gain entrance into this hallowed portal of art.

Let’s crunch a few numbers here. Let’s say you have to wait three hours for the tickets. The 45 rooms of the Uffizi cover an area measuring approximately 8,000 sq m, which is the space required to house the gallery’s 4,800 priceless works of art, which means you have to devote a full day to take it all in. Therefore, would it not be far simpler to buy your Uffizi Gallery tickets from us and do away with waiting in the queue and wasting precious hours?

The online Uffizi ticket reservation service, courtesy Florence Tickets, will be refundable if you e-mail us your request of cancellation (20% of the voucher price excluded bank charges, request 20 days before entrance date). An advance purchase credits you for the entrance at the date and time written in the voucher. In case of no show tickets will not be refundable.

Here are a few more essentials that you need to keep in mind when buying Uffizi tickets:

- Reservations must be done at least 48 hours before the requested visit date. Festive days are not considered for such calculations.

- The maximum number of tickets you can buy is 30, for a greater number please contact us.

- Uffizi tickets can be withdrawn only on the day of the visit at the reserved tickets entrance of the museum.

- Florence Tickets is not responsible for changes or cancellations of the offered programs.

- You can change booked date and/or time, but for every change you’ll pay an additional charge.

- The service price is added to the each ticket price bought online.

- Payment covers the ticket, the Uffizi reservation, and the eventual exhibition.

- For reduced and free tickets we require an identification document.

- If the time requested is not available, the museum will confirm a timetable different from the one you requested, but as close as possible to the one you requested.

Payments can be made only through credit card through an encrypted connection.

Those who may purchase reduced/half tickets are:

- European Community citizens aged between 18 and 25 years (valid identity document needed at entrance)

- Italian school teachers

Those who may purchase free tickets are:

- Non-European Community citizens aged under 6 years (valid identity document needed at entrance)

- European Community citizens aged under 18 and over 65 years (valid identity document needed at entrance)

NB: Service fees and eventual temporary exhibition fees are always due. Also, even if you make free Uffizi reservations online, you still pay for the on-line service and the booking fees.

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Q: How do you know if your Uffizi reservation is complete?
A: The online procedure is complete when you receive two emails: the first with your summed up order and the bank authorization confirmation, and the second within 48 hours with your voucher. If this does not happen, please get in touch with us.

Q: How will you receive your Uffizi tickets?
A: Within 48 hours the tickets will be ready. We will send you an email with your tickets, which you must print and take with you to the museum. On certain rare occasions, an Uffizi ticket voucher may not be ready owing to technical problems at the museum, or strikes and public holidays. If this happens please contact us.

Q: Can you visit the museum at a different hour or on a different day than what is written on your voucher?
A: No, you will be allowed to visit the museum only at the date and time written on your voucher.

Q: You have just completed booking for your parents/friends. However tickets were booked on your credit card. Is that a problem?
A: The name on the voucher is not important, so it can be different from the cardholder or the names of the visitors. However, the booking number on the voucher is important. Remember that the voucher must be printed and taken to the museum.

Q: Does the voucher give you the right to exit and visit the museum again the same day?
A: No, it does not. If you leave, you cannot re-visit with the same voucher. Essentially, the voucher is a reservation just for one time.

Q: What happens if you lose your voucher as you are leaving for your trip?
A: Send us an email with your name and the e-mail address of the hotel you’ve booked into and we will send you your voucher there.

See? We are safe, reliable, and completely transparent, so it makes immense sense for you to buy your Uffizi tickets from us. Our Uffizi ticket booking fees are reasonable and surely worth the bother of braving the miles-long queue. After all, if you receive premium service, why not pay only a little extra for the privilege? So if you are planning a trip to Florence, during which the Uffizi will obviously be on your agenda, contact us without delay at http://www.virtualuffizi.com.
