How To Lose Weight Safely

Obeseity is a major problem among our young people in the United States.Many factors can contribute to one becoming obese such as a genetic/hereditary disorder.This and possible treatment has to be determined by a physician.

Another problem with our young people are the eating habits when away from home. Kids like junk food such as candy,cakes,soda,ice creams and the like.Im not suggesting eliminating them all from the childrens diets.I am suggesting that our children should be educated about proper nutrition at an early age and to eat junk food in moderation.

Being depressed and distraught can also lead to the young and old going on eating binges which leads to becoming overweight,in more serious cases,eventually obeseity.

Whats the difference between obeseity and being overweight?

Being overweight can be 10-30 pounds of your normal weight.

If your overweight by 30 or more pounds,in my opinion,you are obese.

Sometimes people who are overweight or obese wake up one morning so disgusted with the way they look,they decide to go on a crash diet.

Maybe the will try the water diet for 1,2,even 3 weeks.

When one goes in this direction,you will not lose alot of weight.

This is most definitely the wrong way to go and can lead to health problems as you are depriving your body of the vitamins,minerals, nutrients that you need everyday.

Buying into programs that promise quick weight loss in a short amount of time need to be carefully examined before purchasing such programs.

The human body is very complex and should not be subjected to extreme changes in a short period of time.To lose weight safely and to keep it off is a long and tedious process that has to be thought out and planned,not to be taken lightly.

The body processes or metabolizes all the foods we eat and sends all the properties from these foods to there proper places during the hours of 5am-8pm.If you should eat after 8 pm,the bodys time clock is thrown off and what you eat will most likely be stored in the fat cells of your body.

To people who are 10-30 pounds overweight and would like to lose it and keep it off,I offer a few suggestions.

First,get a pen or pencil and piece of paper.Next,write down as much as you can remember,all the food you ate during the past week.

If you see burgers,fries,shakes more than once on that piece of paper,you do have a problem. Sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control,we have no choice but to frequent these fast food places.

The first change you should make is to stay away from the fast food places for 1 month.I know,this can be difficult but making a committment to doing this is crucial if you want to lose weight.

Ask yourself the following questions:

Do you eat bacon or sausage with eggs more than twice a week?

Are you a big coffee drinker?More than 3 cups a day with a good amount of sugar?

Do you snack on dougnuts,cakes,cookies and candy during the day more than twice a week?

Do you go threw a litter of soda in a few days?

Do you eat alot of pizza with the heavy cheese more than once a week?

Do you eat red meat more than 3 times a week?

Do you consume a large amount of alcoholic beverages every week?

Do you snack and binge after 8 pm?

If you answered yes to any or all of these questions,you do have a problem.

Again,I am not suggesting eliminating all these things that you like to eat and drink.They key here is consuming the foods and drinks you like in moderation.Cutting back on the quantity and slowly substituting with more healthy alternatives to promote healthy weight loss.

After all,that is your goal,to lose weight and to keep it off.

Drinking a good amount of water everyday is very important.

Water is great for the central nervous system as well as acting as a natural appetite suppressant.I drink about a quart of water a day,sometimes more.
