Nowadays it is very common to visit a website and see a newsletter or some freebie to sign up for. They usually ask
for your name and email address and in return you will receive what you signed up for and usually a bonus gift as a
thank you. The website owner is more than happy that you signed up, even if you didn’t make a purchase from the website.

The ability to market to a subscriber over and over again is priceless to a webmaster or internet marketer. Generating
leads by giving away free information can be more valuable than making one sale. Email marketing is almost a necessity
in internet marketing and there isn’t a single well known marketer who doesn’t utilize the money making potential that
it offers.

“The money is in the list.” Whoever drummed up this statement obviously knows the power of having a list. Imagine being
able to send out an email to your entire list of subscribers with some sort of promotional message for a new product or
service you are offering.

You have a list of 100 active subscribers, and 10 of them go to your site and make a purchase. That’s a 10% conversion
rate, which is being generous. How many emails would you be sending out to your list? What if you had 200 or 500 people
on your list? I’m sure you can see the potential here. The best part is that a lot of times your subscribers stay on your
list for life. Of course they will always have the option to unsubscribe at any time if they wish.

Autoresponders will help automate this process for you and let you spend more time focusing on other aspects of your
business. Anytime you have a new announcement, a new product or just want to keep in touch with your subscribers, type
in a quick message and your autoresponder will send it out to everyone on your list.

If you are an internet marketer or anyone working from home and are not taking advantage of the marketing power of having
a list, you are missing out on sales. You are losing money by simply ignoring the potential that having an email capture
form can create for your business.

Get a simple autoresponder, add a form to your website and start capturing your visitor’s information. This will allow you
to make back-end sales and market to the visitors that may have never wanted to make a purchase in the first place. Keep
this in mind, and realize that having a list can be very beneficial to your business now and in the future.
