A bankruptcy lead is the name, address and bankruptcy details obtained from the public record of anyone who has filed for bankruptcy. Lead databases can help pinpoint bankruptcy leads for the professional who is looking for these specific types of business leads.

The professionals that use bankruptcy leads are as follows:

• Credit Counselors
• Real Estate Investors
• Automobile Dealers
• Mortgage Brokers

How much should you expect to pay for each bankruptcy lead? Lead pricing varies depending on the state. Expect to pay anywhere from three cents up to thirty-six cents a lead. Quantity of leads purchased also can affect per name lead pricing as well.

Some lead companies may offer trial plans where you purchase a small amount of leads such as twenty or so and then test them out to see if they can increase your clientele or not. If the Professional can increase their business by purchasing bankruptcy leads then there is a pretty good chance they will purchase leads again.

Addresses are then compared with the change of address information that is available from the United States Postal Service. If there are duplicate records, they are deleted and all bankruptcy leads are arranged in a bulk mailing and transmitted to the buyers account everyday.

Many buyers of bankruptcy leads also use telemarketing to contact their leads. Many lead companies can supply phone numbers with leads. Many professionals call their leads after sending a direct mailing.

When bankruptcy leads have been uploaded to the business professionals account all they need to do is login and view the new leads that have been provided. It is then easy to merge your information with each lead. Many of these types of systems will track information such as the date you mailed the information. Auto prompts are setup to remind you when it is time to send another direct mailing. Leads can be flagged for deleting as well. Leads can be archived for future mailings and the number of days between mailings can be adjusted to the users’ requirements.

The top bankruptcy lead providers will not tie their clients up into a long contract because they know that the quality of the leads will keep the professionals coming back to order time after time. Many companies will replace a lead if it is returned undeliverable or id the phone number is no longer valid. If the bankruptcy lead provider wants to stay in business, they will have to supply quality leads on a continuous basis.

When doing your research on bankruptcy lead providers it is important to find out how long they have been in business. You do not want a fly by night operation that will then just take your money and provide unqualified leads.
