Did you ever lose a lover and wonder how it happened? There are three easy ways to lose them that may be a surprise to you. They are common occurrences in many relationships, but for many, it is the kiss of death to the relationship.

Here are three EASY ways to lose a lover, or your date, or your current new boyfriend:

1. BLAME AND COMPLAIN

How do you lose a lover? Remember every bad thing that was ever done to you and tell your lover about it. Act like you never had any responsibility in the past relationship, and covertly beg for attention and pity. True enablers may take this bait, but a reasonably well-balanced guy will turn and run out the door like his hair is on fire. Whether it's your boss, your ex, or your family and friends, blaming and complaining about other people and what they did to you makes you sound like a victim and a loser. It is clear you have unresolved relationships and this is very unattractive. You have just announced to your lover that there is little room in your life for him because your attention and energy are on your past.

2. CHECK OUT THE OTHER POTENTIAL DATES IN THE ROOM

Another way to lose a lover is if you are having a conversation and your gaze keeps drifting to a man (or a woman) across the room. This should insure your lack of a future date and the end of your relationship with your lover. No one with any self esteem will tolerate this behavior. The only thing worse that you could do would be if you asked your date if he knew the handsome guy in the corner, and could he introduce you.

3. TALK ABOUT MARRIAGE

If you want to lose your lover or annihilate your new date before you know him well, throw out the topic of marriage and see how he reacts. There are lots of clever ways to bring it up, and don't think they don't get noticed. Topics such as, your sister's wedding, your roomate's honeymoon, what kind of wedding you hope to have some day, the dress you've picked out, and mentioning your ticking biological clock, are all ways to say you are desperate to find someone soon and get married. The implication when you say it this way is that you almost don't care who it is...it just needs to be someone soon. This is unflattering to your lover and they may feel like they are about to be used.

You don't want to scare the guy away so that he never asks you out again, or, have him forget your name and phone number. If you don't want to skip over all the attractive guys and go straight for the clinging, hopeless ones, don't do the above. These are three easy ways to lose a lover.
