Earl Nightingale quoted in his best selling audio program "The Strangest Secret" "A Man is what he thinks about" I believe it is true today than it was back then. A man is what he thinks about. Your thoughts direct your actions. Think thoughts of gloom and doom and that is what will manifest. The best advantage one has knows that if you think good loving and grateful thoughts, which is what you move toward.

I do believe that it is what you think about, that you will action on if inspired to. Similar to the call to action in a classified ad, your thoughts form the process of what you will do next. If you think about writing articles such as this, nothing will happen until you become determined to do so. That is the difference between a passing thought and a thought that you dwell on. If you concentrate on thing, feel passionate or determined to get that thing, you will find a way of acquiring that. The double edge sword does hang in the balance. If you abandon the thought of what you want, then you will not move toward it.

It is like at one time I was thinking and visualizing a new car. I viewed it in my mind, I felt that I really wanted a new car; I didn't know how I was going to pay for it. But, a few months later, there I was in a new car. I think that one of the main reasons that I was able to manifest it, is because I believed I had the ability to acquire it somehow. Sure I had a job, but that never bought me a car before. I was also having trouble with the car I was driving at the time. That I believe was the spark that gave me the idea to just get a new car. I still drove the old car for another few months after, but then there was a point where the car just was beyond repair. Now, was that a bad thing? Maybe, but I ended up with a new car, which was the result I was looking for. So maybe I set into motion the force necessary to ensure that not only will I get a new car but the old one would be in disrepair.

For years I struggled to get a house. I would put it on my goals list every year for over ten years. One day, I visualized and wanted to get a house. It started to become more than just wishful thinking, I was adamant that I wanted my own home, since I was tired of landlords, and noisy neighbors. Then it happened, the doubled edge sword. I started out joining a group that claimed they can help me get a home and fix it up and sell it. I figured that by doing so, I can earn enough to buy my own home. Long story short they ripped me off! Instead of doing anything more on real estate investing, I decided to purchase a home. That was the first step, then visualizing what it would look like. I drew it out on a piece of paper, moving walls, number of bedrooms etc. So finally a few months later I saw an ad to qualify for a mortgage. I quickly applied and they approved me for 400K. I was shocked! So I started out to look for my new home. I got a realtor who worked with me. We started in one area and work in an expanding concentric circle. I was not satisfied with what I was looking as it did not resonate with me. Until one day I was looking for a brand new house, not used. We walked into this model home and to my amazement it was exactly what I was looking for!

I quickly put down the deposit and then they want the rest of the down payment two months later. I had no idea how I would get that money, I only had a part of it. I trusted that it will turn up; I acted as the home is mine and mine now. I was really excited. Sure enough a 2 weeks before I had to come up with the money, I receive a bonus from my job, and I recovered my initial investment form the ripped me off company! Now I had not only the down money but almost all of the closing costs and the house wasn't even built yet! It’s a double edge sword, which is why you have to keep in mind that which you want, because quite a number of things can happen, but it doesn't matter if you keep your eyes and heart on the ball.

Yes a man is what he thinks about. Forget time, that is not for you to determine. When things are right it will be shown and given to you. The double edge sword can be made to work in your favor. It has several times in my life and will in the future just keep you in that mode to receive.
