Men’s fashion has withstood the tests of time, with the main staples being slacks and polo shirts. Slacks, generally khaki in color, go with anything from a button down shirt to a college t-shirt. Polo shirts are considered business casual, especially when combined with a dressier slack. Like slacks, polo shirts are very versatile in that they can be dressed up, or down with a pair of jeans. Shoes help make the outfit. Tennis shoes are generally worn with the jeans, dressier shoes such as Eastlands, are worn with the slacks. Suits, which range from tuxedos to basic, work for any formal or work occasion.

When interviewing for a job, first impressions go a long way. Don’t show up for a corporate job interview wearing the above said business casual polo shirt and slacks. A nice suit is a must. Depending on the job, a three piece suit (pants, jacket and vest) may be in order. There are several men’s fashion designers to choose from that produce wonderful designer suits and shoes. Italian shoes are popular among such professions as lawyers, doctors and CEOs of large companies. A large wallet is generally needed to wear the top men’s fashion designer, both clothing and shoes.

On the other hand, wearing that three piece suit to an interview for a construction job may not be the best thing. In this case, a nice polo shirt and slacks would be acceptable. These can be found at the smaller department stores or in the malls at a relatively affordable price. Dockers, IZOD, Stafford and Chaps are all makers of the business casual attire for men’s fashion. Affordable dressy shoe makers include Nunn Bush, Rockport and Bostonian. This style makes up the most popular way to dress for men everywhere.

A wardrobe can be made as versatile as anyone would need, with the right pieces. Jeans, (no rips, holes, etc), slacks (various colors such as khaki, olive and blue), polo shirts, button up shirts (solid color, plaid, shirt sleeve and long), and even some long-sleeve polo shirts make a great beginning to an expansive wardrobe. Even tennis shoes can be worn in a semi-dressy way. Put them with a nice polo shirt and slacks; it’s something that is worn by stylish college students over the nation.
