Remember, just because you are being treated poorly does not mean that you should return the favor.

Another way to deal with an unruly buyer is to try communication methods other than the telephone or in person meetings. Although this may be the quickest way to get things done, if you cannot see eye to eye, it may not be possible. Instead, why not look into what email has to offer? This will allow you to communicate with the buyer, but not have to deal with their yelling and degrading comments. Sure, you may still have to read them, but this is much better than dealing with them in person.

It is hard to walk away from any deal when you are selling your home by owner. After all, this is the day that you have been waiting for since you put your home on the market. But if you are really having a hard time with a potential buyer, there is nothing wrong with calling things off. As long as you do not have a contract with them, you are within your rights to walk away from the deal. It may take a threat of walking away to bring the buyer back down to earth.
