Eric Dick

Did you know that the home business arena is a $427 billion industry a year. Sounds inflated right, no kidding. I am somewhat hesitant to believe industry statistics like this, but I do know that it is a big chunk of change. I also know that people are unsatisfied with their JOBS. Does this mean everyone you see working or commuting is a walking zombie, no, but a good amount of people know they can do better. They simply have not found the right vehicle.

Which brings me to the heart of the issue. One thing that you should realize as a soon to be home based business entrepreneur, is that most of the opportunities out there are in network marketing. This industry requires personal growth and change in order to be successful. But what serious endeavor does not require this. Getting back to what I hinted at earlier, you will want to be absolutely certain that when you do find a legitimate home based business you will want to be putting yourself in front of motivated people rather than those who are happy with the status quo.

Power vs Force

This is an awesome book, I highly recommend it, check it out at www.veritaspub.com. Why did I just start talking about a book, because it’s completely relevant. A lot of times people in this industry, try to motivate, try to enlighten, try to recruit, try to talk to, try to build a business by doing all of these seemingly un-natural things, by force. I have found that whenever something is not working for me like prospecting, or marketing, or even operating a silly simple business, it is because I am trying to force the issue. Had I not gotten involved in the home business industry I would have never learned all of these things, but thankfully I found a business that teaches these principles.

There is a huge difference between working hard, and working smart. People who are successful, have many opportunities flying at them from the last 20% of their efforts. They may have worked hard for a time, but working hard is not what got them to where they are. Working hard is basically a nice way of saying that someone never really understood how simple and easy it can be to make a lot of money. Working hard is a virtue that appeals to the masses. It make you seem tough, weathered, skillful, strong, un-selfish, and persistent. While some of these characteristics are shared by entrepreneurs, what then could make this group so much wealthier than the worker class? Thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, purpose, vision, and goals. So working hard is like trying to cut through a log with an old rusty relic of a saw. But if you are able to grab yourself a nice new one or do some serious sharpening you will certainly have different results.

So in order to achieve our goals faster we will want to know what we want, in what time frame, why we want it, and why we deserve it. So to have success fast, we must take our scattered ideas, and pleasant daydreams and turn them into deep burning desires, that we can see clearly in our minds, and speak about with conviction. It is easy to look at our current situation and get frustrated, especially when things don’t go our way, but the faster we can ignore these and refocus on the positive, or our vision, the sooner we can be back on track.
