Imagine powdery white sand beaches, luxury suites overlooking the panoramic view of the sea, soothing massages (using the traditional bone-cracking yet effective methods), recognizing the beauty of nature untouched by man, meeting local folks who enthusiastically open their homes to share the magnificence of their island and of course my impulse to look for bizarre food. These characteristics equate to my almost perfect getaway (People, there is no such thing as perfect. Remember that.) Now, all I need to know is exactly where to go and who to take. A tropical island sounds good. An all-inclusive Caribbean vacation perhaps? Possibly a Jamaica resort vacation? It is imperative that you’re with the individuals you love and that it be all-inclusive so that you need not worry about a thing. The purpose of a vacation is to relax. So please, do relax.

For a person who barely floats on water, a Caribbean vacation package might not be the ideal trip. But as an adventure seeker, I promise you this will not get in the way.

As I browsed through various vacation websites, I suggest that these details need to be noted: the price (how much is allotted per day, do they accept credit cards), the cruise type, the resort, the season--peak or otherwise, safety of the place, what amenities to avail and what items to bring.

The Price and the Cruise Type: I will be tackling both at the same time. The price of the cruise will be highly dependent on what type you’re booked with. If you’re on a budget, the alternative for you is the value cruise. For those who want lavish accommodation, there’s the luxury option. If possible, try having at least $150 allotted per day. If you are short in cash, look for the sign that says, ‘major credit cards accepted here.’ One of the most beautiful signs ever created (next to exit). Almost all of the island establishments accept credit cards.
The Resort and the Season: Peak season=high prices. Remember some Cruise ships and resorts would be entirely booked a month or two before the start of the peak period. To avoid the rush, try coordinating with a good cruise line or a good resort to settle everything ahead of time. Ask them with regard their package deals. Ask them to provide you with an itinerary. With the cruise line, inquire with the different options they offer and the islands that they will be stopping at. Also, try plotting your vacation inline with the local festivities.

In addition, know where the souvenir shops are located. Keep a little memento. Tell your friends how stunning the islands are.

Safety: Ask about the crime rate. Are there vigilantes? Terrorists? Gang war? It may sound crazy but these things happen. Just make sure that the chance of these things from occurring is slim to none.

Amenities and what items to bring: Snorkeling or parasailing? Relaxing massage or an exhilarating jetski ride? Certainly, clothes must match the climate of the island. Due to the warm breeze swim suits, tanks, shorts or sarong and flip-flops are a must wear. Sunscreen lotion, hats and a pair of sunglasses will be handy to protect oneself from the harmful rays of the sun.

Sometimes, unforgettable events happen in a cruise. A debut, a wedding or an anniversary. An individual facing the world as an adult in the flamboyant coast of Mexico, or a matrimonial ceremony between couples in the romantic shores of Jamaica or a celebration of fifty years of blissful partnership. Cruise lines stop in the islands mentioned above. A Mexico or Puerto Rico escape, a Jamaica vacation package or a Jamaica package vacation wedding; pick one, or pick all of the islands and start your own cruise.
