With its picturesque views and rich history from the Civil War era, Long View Shores of Virginia are a prime destination for travelers and locals alike. Situated just minutes from Lake Anna, the waterfront property boasts ample opportunities for exploring the lush landscape, enjoying a peaceful sunset on the lake, and taking in the rich cultural activities and festivals in the marina and state park nearby.

Lake Anna is one of two lakes located completely inside Virginia, offering year round activities and events for all interests. From boating and fishing, to swimming and recreation opportunities, the area has become a famous tourist spot as well as a miniature getaway destination for residents. Located in a pristine setting just beyond Lake Anna State Park, the lake is just one place to enjoy a day at the beach, take in a fresh fishing adventure, or simply ride out on the waters on a boat or cruise. Long View Shores is located within easy access to some of the state’s leading attractions and picturesque views.

The community around Long View Shores is an attractive spot for families and visitors of all ages. From fishing and camping, to exploring the lake on a canoe, there’s no shortage of things to do in this rural area. Seasonal festivals and community gatherings offer a wealth of opportunities to learn about the local culture and spend time with community members. State parks and community venues feature a range of live music and socializing opportunities year round, and Long View Shores sits amidst these cultural attractions as a prime destination to enjoy the best of the area. For those who wish to travel around and explore the territory, Long View Shores is conveniently located to the interstate and country roads leading out to other cultural hotspots.

Fredericksburg is located just an hour north of the area, serving as one of America’s most historic cities. The downtown area offers a wealth of opportunities to take in the culture and daily lifestyle of the residents; specialty restaurants, unique boutiques, and antique markets and craft shops stocked with sites from the colonial area make this a valuable spot to enjoy a history lesson. Montpelier is easy to reach with a quick trip to the south; the beautiful estates in the area are home to a number of wine and music festivals, as well as steeplechase races and lush gardens that are open to the public.

Just west of Lake Anna and Long View Shores is Albemarle County, a spot to take in the history of presidential homes. The Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and James Monroe’s very own mansion are both located here, and a visit here offers a peaceful respite from the busyness of the downtown marketplace and neighboring communities. These impeccably maintained historical sites are a welcome addition to any history buff’s itinerary, and the impressive wineries and cellars populating the area offer another journey into the rich history of colonial days.

Not too far east of Long View Shores is the Appalachian Trail, another excursion that offers a valuable history lesson and easily accessible beyond the mountains and rolling hills. From countryside picnics to tours of the area, the trail offers plenty of options to enjoy some of Virginia’s finest historical sites and stories.

Long View Shores is nestled conveniently amongst some of Virginia’s most favorable attractions and cultural sites. Just minutes from Lake Anna, the properties offer a wealth of opportunities to enjoy Virginia in luxury, comfort, and style.
