Now all glory to God who is able to stop me from slipping and sliding away. All glory to him who alone is God and our savior through Jesus Christ.

All Glory and majesty, all powers and all authority are his now, before time and will be for ever more.

Lord Jesus only you can bring us into the glory and majesty of heaven with great shouts of everlasting joy!

A prayer from James

Lord my God it is pure joy for me to endure any hardship in your name; knowing these trials bring me closer to you. I know Lord when I pray you hear my prayers. When I ask in prayer Lord I cannot fail. Help my unbelief and let me pray without doubting.

Let me be quick to listen to others, slow to speak and slower to become angry. Let me, Lord, rid myself of everything that does not edify you, let me rid myself of everything immoral. Grant me the ability to control my tongue and not to gossip; not to slander others but in everything I say to edify your name.

Lord Jesus let me treat everyone equally and not to show favoritism nor to court position in life and thereby edify self. Let me not spend my time courting selfish ambition.

Lord in freely accepting your grace let me be graceful in my behavior to others. Let me seek peace always and turn my back on conflict. Lord let my faith manifest itself through good works and in all things let my actions show to the world your glory. Lord let me look to you first in every situation.

When I pray and do not receive it is because I ask with a wrong motive, that is I ask out of selfish, self seeking conceit. Give me strength to resist evil temptations and ambitions.

Who am I Lord to judge others; grant me the Love of Jesus Christ when I look in the direction of my neighbor. Let me not boast about tomorrow as the future I plan comes only by your grace.

Forgive my sins against others, how I have treated them unfairly. I pray for your blessing on the church Lord; let us not grumble against one another. Let the words I speak be truthful with no deceit. Grant me patience Lord Jesus as we await your return.

When I am happy I will sing songs of praise, when I am troubled I will pray and when I am sick I will seek prayer with the elders of the church. I promise Lord when I see a brother or sister of the church loose their way I will not hesitate to bring them back to you my Father and my God.

A Prayer from Ruth

Protect me from the world that urges me to leave you, to turn back from you.
Where you take me - I will go Lord God.
Whatever you ask me I will do.
Your people Lord God will be my family.
Allow me wisdom to know and to do your will.
Strengthen me to do your work.
And having completed my stay here to enter into your presence as a loyal and faithful servant.
