For a vacation filled with culture and art, visit Fayetteville, NC. There you can indulge in art, culture and fine dining like you have never before experienced. This charming, North Carolina city has everything you could possibly imagine when it comes to art and culture, all in a hospitable, southern environment.

The first place you will want to visit during your trip to Fayetteville, NC is the Arts Council. The Arts Council building is located in the heart of downtown Fayetteville on Hay Street. The building is charming in itself as it was built in 1910 and used to house the local post office. Here you see many different exhibits from local and international artisans. Paintings, sculptures, photography and other exhibits are on display showcasing talent from Fayetteville and beyond. The Arts Council is an excellent place to begin your tour of Fayetteville, NC.

Affordable art is available at the Loafing Artist Studio located on Hay Street, close to the Art Council Building. The studio is set in a beautiful old home and features many different art pieces from different local artists. If you have some time, you can even take a class! The Loafing Artist Studio has some wonderful abstract art pieces at surprisingly affordable prices. In addition to abstract art, they also have a large selection of framed artwork for virtually any décor.

Hay Street is teeming with different art galleries, shops and cafes. One place you will not want to miss is The City Center Gallery and Books. Here you can not only find original and reproduction artwork, you can also browse some of the antique and newer books that are for sale. On nearby Maxwell Street, check out the Cape Fear Studios. This is the ideal place to find undiscovered artists honing their craft. Clay pottery, paintings, drawings and photography works from local artists adorn Cape Fear Studios and admission is free. You can purchase art from the various artisans and you may be the first to discover a new talent.

For some wonderful gifts and more artwork, visit Greg’s Art Studio on Maxwell Street, close to the Cape Fear Studios. You can browse all you want in this lovely studio that features some of the most beautiful pottery pieces you can imagine, created by local artists.

If you are seeking some fine art, you must visit Old Town Gallery, also on Maxwell Street. You can find some of the most exquisite, fine art pieces such as oil paintings, watercolors and sketched drawings all done by local and international artists. If you are a discerning collector, or just like to browse, be sure to stop at Old Town Gallery in Fayetteville, NC.

The Fayetteville, NC Museum of Art is a wonderful place to visit for educational programs, concerts and some wonderful world-class exhibits. The Fayetteville Museum of Art is located on nearby Stamper Road and is open daily. Admission to the Art Museum is free and they even offer special workshops for those who would like to try their hand at creating their own art.

Concert performances by the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra are held several times a year at the Methodist College Auditorium on Ramsey Street. Ticket prices to this local symphony are surprisingly low, considering how wonderful the talent. Here you can relax and listen to fine music played by some of the most talented musicians in the area. Throughout the year, guest musicians also make an appearance with the Orchestra. The North Carolina Symphony Orchestra also plays several times a year at the auditorium. Taking in a symphony concert is wonderful in Fayetteville, NC.
