Many people, while having a full time job, think about starting some sort of a business on the side. Whether it is real estate, network marketing, or Internet affiliate marketing. Whatever the business is, they think only about succeeding. The thought of setbacks and small failures don't come across their minds. When it does, they tend to quit. A lot of these people will never again go into business.

If you are reading this article you need to know that the most important thing for you to do, if you keep failing and failing time after time, is to keep going and take another "swing at the ball".

Take for example, Babe Ruth. He was one of the best baseball players of all time. Did you know that he struck out more times then anyone in the history of baseball? But did you also know that he was one of the greatest home run hitters of all time? You can let failure hold you back but you need to move forward. You need to keep going no matter what.

One of the top secrets to success in any field is to NEVER GIVE UP even though things seem to be darkest for you.

Have you ever heard the story of Thomas Edison? He tried about a few thousand times before he got the light bulb to work. Because he never quit after his 1st, 2nd and 2000 tries, he helped society in a big way.

Thomas Edison once said, "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward. I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

There are thousands of stories out there of men and women who had many setback and failures along the way. But they got to where they wanted because they kept on going. They ran "over the hurdles" each time and got to the "finish line" called "success".

It is very true that you have the best of intentions to maintain a positive attitude at all times, but it is also a possibility that you allow your friends and family to bring your motivations down. It is so important to stay focused at all times because when you get distracted like that you can still stay positive.

Regardless of how you feel and what others are saying to you, and regardless of how many times you have failed in the past, you need to know that there will always be a light at the end of the dark tunnel. If you fail now, then try again tomorrow. If you fail tomorrow, then try again the day after that.

Focusing on the future is always better then focusing on the present and what you have now. You always need to tell yourself that things will get better and better, even though things don't seem to be going your way right now. If you keep telling yourself, "That's it? This is not working out for me. I'm quitting. I had enough", then you will never succeed. You need to change your thoughts to "It's OK. This is no big deal. I will just keep going and I will succeed. I am not going to quit".

A good way to keep going and be strong is to always keep your dreams and goals right there in front of you. When ever you have a setback, take your goals and dreams and read it out loud to yourself. This will give you some great encouragement. Refusing to quit and keep moving forward will help you on your way to success.
