When trying to decorate your RV one of the greatest ways to make a great enhancement is to change your RV window coverings. It is a fast and easy way to overhaul the look of your RV. There are many different brands of window covering to pick from so you have free reign when customizing the decor in your RV.

There are several brands of RV window coverings to pick from and the one that is right for you depends on what you are hoping to accomplish. For example is the appearance the most important important for you? Then you might want to add a fancy curtain. If being able to regulate the lighting in your RV is the most important thing then try using an aluminum mini blind. Shades can also be used and most models offer a combo of day and night shades.

One of the most important consideration for installing RV window coverings is to have some privacy when you are traveling. In many RV camp grounds, each site is close together and being able to protect your privacy is important. You can also help warm up or cool down your RV with some of the window coverings. For example using a thermal curtain will allow you to keep your RV cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Window coverings also allow you to control how much sunlight comes into your RV. If you like to sleep past dawn then getting an aluminum mini blind is a good idea.

The only real down fall to adding RV window coverings to your RV is the costs involved. In most case you can purchase the window coverings at reasonable prices. However, if you require sizes that are non standard, then you can need to put in more money. Many of the different brands of window covers also have a few drawbacks. For example, with curtains there is no middle ground, they are either completely opened or completely closed. Aluminum mini blinds make some sounds when they are raised or lower and many feel that day and night shades don't offer enough privacy as sometimes you are able to see the silhouettes from the outside.

Pricing for RV window coverings cover a wide range. Most average sized thermal curtains can be bought for about $20 a pair, remember that you will also need to buy the curtain rods which average around $5. Aluminum blinds have prices that run from $34 to $60 depending on the size of the slats you want. The day/night shades have no set pricing and you will need to contact a dealer to get a good price. This is because there are many materials and colors to pick from and many of the models custom make each order.

When trying to improve your RV, make sure that you consider updating your RV window coverings. It is one of the most cost effective ways to change the whole appearance of your RV. They will add to the overall look and style of your RV.
