Searching for Clermont County Court records used to be an exhausting proposition, involving hours of standing in line, and sometimes weeks or months of waiting for what you asked for. The advent of new technology in records management has made accessing information much easier. Gone are the days of waiting forever for the information you asked for, or even worse, waiting all that time to find out the records have been lost.

With the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, most court records except those involving children and other certain crimes are a matter of public record. This means that you, or anyone else, has the right to request these records and view them at any time. So what are the ways that you can do this?

The first involves going to the Clermont County Court in person. You stand in line, and let the clerk know what it is you need. A small fee is sometimes involved, but with electronic databases, these records are now available immediately. The disadvantages of this are that you will sometimes need a few hours of free time in order to get this done, as lines can be lengthy. In addition, you will need to visit different courts depending on the information you are looking for. And if it is not in that county, you will have to go to the other places the person has lived, assuming you know them.

The second is requesting records by phone. A clerk will answer the phone and mail you the information you request. This takes longer than going down to the Clermont County Court and you will have to pay higher fees for having the information copied or printed and mailed to you. You may also need a substantial block of time depending on the average hold time on the phone.

The third option is to gather your Clermont County Court records online. This is far the easiest and most convenient. No need to worry about standing in long lines or waiting on hold forever to get the information you want. With a couple of clicks of the mouse, you can find out all the information you need to know. Paying a reputable third party will also help you gather information in other states and counties as well.

You can conduct your own free Clermont County Court records search, but these can be extremely time consuming. You have to know all the places a person has lived, and other info such as their date of birth and/or social security number. You then can go online to search records, but you usually must do it by county and if it is a civil or criminal charge. There are also federal records, and all kinds of other things to look at. If you have a person that has lived in multiple states and counties, this could take forever. In addition, you might need to know aliases if they have used more than one name in their lifetime.

By using a reputable website that charges an annual membership fee, you will be able to look up multiple people at the same cost. However, if this is just a one-time thing than you should use a website that has both options.
