Seo Keywords & Website Improvements To Improve Your Google Ranking

Say Search Engine Optimization and the first thing that pops into almost everyone’s heads is keywords. Well that is part of it but there is another thing to consider that is relevant words. Relevant words are words that maybe your keywords or maybe other words that are triggered by your keywords.

Relevant words, from a search engine optimization standpoint, are words that are used either together or in conjunction with your keywords. Done right, this type of search engine optimization can get you top rankings for specific key words immediately, without doing anything else — no linking and no other on page optimization. This is because your page gets high marks for “relevance.” If no other URL is ranking as high for relevance as you are, you immediate go to the top of the SERPs for that particular key word. This more or less solves your SEO issues once and for all for that particular keyword or key word phrase.

Using tools such as SEO chat’s Google suggest tool, or keyword tool or even a tool like overture can give you a good start on the relevant words and phrases to optimize your pages for website rank depends on a number of factors and each search engine is different. Google has clearly outlined what their criteria for ranking is. What they have not told us is which part is weighted heaviest. In actuality its not too difficult to rank well with Google. Some simple website improvements will have you on the right track to boost your rankings.

• Links–Google counts links, but they are picky about which ones they will count. They want links pointing to your site that are quality links. What constitutes a quality link is a website that is subject related, and has a higher page rank than the one it links to. Google also counts links when they are not reciprocal, they actually discount reciprocal links.

• Title Tag–Google actually looks at the page title, make it relevant, preferably including a keyword or phrase.

• Content keywords–Google looks for the keywords on the page, they will rank each page on the keywords found. Don’t worry about your keyword metatag, Google doesn’t. Google looks only for the keywords on the page. A Quick website improvement? Insert keywords on any and every page where possible and natural.

• Keyword links–when building the links mentioned previously; request relevant text links. Clean golf balls works much better then “find clean gold balls, click here” With the words click here being the link. If you are purchasing the link make sure to specify relevant text links.

• Dynamic Pages and Google–Unlike some other search engines, Google is able to index dynamically generated pages, so long as a link exists to those pages somewhere.

• ALT tags on Images–If you have been placing images on your website without bothering to place ALT tags, now is a good time to add ALT tags. Google apparently indexes the text given in the ALT tags of images, another quick and easy website improvement.

These few things can be some of the easiest website improvements; a few minutes each day well spent and the results will show up in Google.
