1. Start with the basics:

For most men, the foundation of their clothes are fairly plain: blue or black jeans, basic t-shirts in a variety of solid colors. Button down shirts (like dress shirts, for example) that are fairly basic. And business suits that are solid colors or have very small pin stripes.
