If you’re the proud owner of a product or service oriented business, you’ve probably heard that you need traffic in order to get customers or clients. You’ve likely also heard that one really great and proven way to get loads of targeted visitors or traffic to your site is to write articles and distribute them. You’ve also heard that the more you write, the better off you’ll be. Although this is great advice for the serious business owner, there are several article writing and distributing secrets that you must know and follow to maximize your efforts. In this article, we’ll share these secrets with you so that you can take your article marketing to new levels.

1.Use your power. Article marketing will get you substantial traffic if you know what to do with the traffic once you get it. For instance, if you typically send your visitors to your home page that is convoluted with too many offers, your visitor might not do anything at all. Instead, you should consider sending them to a squeeze page where you make it clear that you’re looking for them to act now.

2.Leverage your visitors. Leverage your visitors and make sure that you get their name and email messages so that you can put them on your list. This can be done by requesting their information before they receive the information promised in the article. Then, when they leave their information, you will give them the promised information with a call-to-action squeeze page that offers a gift, e-book, download or something else. This will help you establish a positive relationship with your readers who will be more likely to buy from you in the future.

3.Spin and rewrite your articles. Don’t just submit your article to one place and say forget it. Instead spin it or rewrite it and submit it to several other places as well. This will help you get a tremendous amount of back links and will also get your extensive marketing as well.

4.Focus on higher PR directories. On the same token, concentrate on higher PR article directories for maximum exposure. This will ensure that you get higher search engine placements and you’ll have stronger back links as well. Plus, the search engines love those higher ranking links and will definitely take notice which could lead to more targeted leads and more business.

Make sure that you do as a strong resource box will make visitors want to click to find out more information. Another tip is to always use back links in the resource box and then drive readers to a squeeze page where you can administer a hard-sell offer.
