The first thing that you should do before installing ceramic tile floor is to remove every item and furniture that you possibly can. You want the room cleared completely so that you can have access to the entire floor. Using caulk, move around the edge of the room to seal the outer areas between the tiles and the wall. If everything is as it should be, furniture and items can be put back into the room.
