Overview:

The Tamerica Tashin 210EPB is a heavy duty all metal electric plastic comb binding machine. This effective machine makes punching documents is as easy as pressing a button. It's the binding solution that many companies need to bind efficiently with plastic comb technology. This is the electric plastic comb binder you have been waiting for - and it will change the way you approach a plastic binding application. The Tamerica Tashin 210EPB is worth your consideration and should be looked at carefully before making any decision regarding the right binding machine for you.

Features:

There are many features that are perfect for high-volume users. For example, the 210EPB is capable of punching up to 10,000 sheets per hour or approximately 20 sheets per lift - ideal for users who bind higher-volume documents, and need to use this application on a regular basis - every day. In addition, the 210EPB Includes a depth of punch margin adjustment for binding both thin and thick documents and fully disengageable dies with an open-throat design for binding short and long documents. The punch will handle up to 12" documents in a single pass and longer documents in two passes, making it highly efficient. This versatile machine runs the gamut of sizes and thicknesses and can bind documents as thin as just a few sheets with 3/16" combs or as thick as 425 sheets with 2" combs. In addition, the heavy-duty handle that controls the plastic comb opener, can be repositioned allowing for opening combs longer than 12."

Limitations:

As helpful as the 210EPB can be, it does have some limitations, including a fairly long punch cycle, adding to the time it takes from the push of the button until the punch is complete. This time lag is not a problem for all applications, for instance, the moderate volume users for this equipment do not find the time lag an issue. However, for higher-volume users, the slower punch cycle can be problematic.

In addition, this machine does not have a foot pedal activation switch for punching. The foot pedal activation can be quite useful for an electric machine, because it allows you to hold the documents with both hands, making it possible to guide the documents through the system.

Construction:

The 210EPB is made of heavy-duty steel . This type of construction makes the 210EPB a product that is build to last. The 210EPB can hold up well in large-volume applications, but works fine with small to moderate applications. The machine's large chip tray is made of hardened plastic and the whole unit comes with a 1 year warranty. That being said, the warranty may never be necessary, given the solid steel construction of the machine - There is rarely a need to use the warranty offered. This does serve to prove, however, just how well-constructed the 210EPB really is .

Recommendation:

The 210EPB is a useful, well-built machine at a good value. The machine has all of the important features you look for in a high-quality electric comb binding machine. From the machine's solid construction, to the functional features of the 210EPB, this machine is highly-recommended for medium sized offices that do moderate volume binding. Larger organizations, however, may want to opt for a machine with a foot pedal and a faster punching cycle. No matter what the choice, however, the 210EPB should be considered for companies with moderate binding needs.
