The Power of Belief. What does this mean? You must have the belief in your business to succeed. Have you ever been prospecting face to face with somebody, and you explain the opportunity you are involved with, only to end joining their opportunity? This happens because you did not have the belief in your business to succeed!

Why is this? Is it because you are new to the opportunity that you’ve joined? Is it because you don't like it? How about the quality of the products? It's none of these! Your belief isn't strong enough because you haven't taken the steps in order to believe in your business!

What gives you your belief? You gain your belief in your home based small business from several factors. First, you have to have confidence in your opportunity by understanding it. When prospects begin asking you questions - and they will! - you have to be able answer them with the confidence of a person who knows the opportunity works! Suppose you have recently joined an affiliate program, and you wanting to get going. You need to take the time to go through your new opportunity to understand what the products are; the compensation plan; the marketing tools; the support team; the frequently asked questions; and the like.

Second, you need to write down your goals! What are your goals for this opportunity in the first week? How about the first month? What about your goals you want to achieve within the first six months? It’s important to be able to tell your prospects what your goals are, and the ones you have already achieved. These are important, so you should write them down on paper, and put them in a place in your home that is obvious. A good place would be the mirror you use most often. Read them every morning, and improve on them and add to them as new goals come to you.

Third, you should have good communication with your sponsor. If your sponsor is new, then speak to somebody in your upline that your sponsor recommends to you! Find out what you need to do to get a good start in your opportunity and where you should be concentrating your efforts. This will build your confidence, and by using edification (your upline's success) this will help you in more ways than you will readily know. You don't want to be working alone if you are new. Use their success as a good example when speaking with your prospects. It’s best to use somebody who your prospect can relate to; such as a person of about the same socio-economic background.

Fourth, you need a plan! This relates to your goals. If your prospects ask you what your plan is for this new opportunity you've joined, you need a good convincing answer! You need to be able to tell them what you will accomplish in the coming weeks. Make them feel they should be a part of what you are doing, and by giving them your plan which they could follow, really adds to your credibility. Make sure you tell them your plan is a blueprint if your upline is doing it as well. This works very well if the plan you are following is something being followed by your upline. Your prospect could follow the plan, and you need to convey that idea to him or her.

Your belief in your business will make or break you in the field. Follow what is listed above to improve your chances for success. Having a strong belief will draw people to you, and you'll have a better chance of sponsoring them into your opportunity.
