Now you can bring the calmness and serenity of the water features that you love so much in your outdoor garden or on your patio, into your home to enjoy every day, all year long. It's easy to do with the addition of any of the many indoor water fountains you can select from. The many types and styles of indoor fountains available today, allows you to add very unique and in many cases very dramatic additions to a room's décor. The choices while certainly numerous and exciting, should be considered carefully before a decision is made. Among the things to consider are the style, size, and the materials used.

Start first by deciding what effect you want to achieve. Today indoor fountains can be used to replace traditional pieces of wall art, plants and statuary used in many homes and offices. For example, a wall fountain can be used in place of a picture. The styles and designs of wall fountains can add just the finishing touch you need or can be a spectacular focal point for a room, hallway or foyer.

There are many wall fountains that can be used outside as well. If you have a garden or patio with some type of wall, the wall fountain is a unique way to decorate. If you have a stone wall or stucco wall, the wall fountain can be a spectacular addition. These are many styles available from contemporary to "old world." It's worth your while to check out the possibilities.

The floor fountain is another choice that is becoming a very popular. These are free standing fountains that when placed among plants and trees add a dramatic waterfall effect - and your plants will thank you for the added humidity. Typically these stand about 48 to 56 inches in height and feature a shimmering waterfall over slate, glass, resin or other material. With included lighting these can be quite spectacular. These are also very effective in an entry way or foyer.

A third very popular choice for an indoor fountain is the tabletop fountain. These are small pieces perfect for tables, bookshelves, credenzas, desks, counters or any other place that will handle small decorative items. With these you can let your imagination run. There are truly limitless designs and styles crafted from a myriad of eye catching materials. Particularly attractive are those made of polished stones and a little added greenery. Another popular material to use is bamboo. Add the trickling water and these unique tabletop fountains become attractive decorations for just about any place in a room. They also make the perfect gift for those hard to shop for friends.

With all these choices of indoor fountains just do a little planning and you can add the soothing effect of moving water anywhere in your home. Small and dainty or large and spectacular, the choice is yours to make and enjoy. The results will be dramatic even if you start small and add different yet complimentary water features over time. Transform your home and become the envy of all your friends.
