The beauty of the Unibind XU138 is that it can automatically sense the steel spine in a Unibind-manufactured spine or cover and then activates the heater when placed on the machine. After the spine has been placed on the binder, it heats the document long enough for the binding process to take place. Once heated, the XU138 actually tells you just when your document is complete, and then you can move it to unit’s cooling rack. Additionally, machine can be used on thermal bind covers or even glue strips if you just use an extra Unibind cover to activate the process.

The Unibind XU138 binding system is built in with very durable materials. It is primarily plastic, but also has many metal components, making it wear very well over time.
