When it comes to where to stay in Bury St. Edmunds, as you will soon discover by searching online you have a wide selection of accommodation to choose from. There is everything from top quality hotels, through to guesthouses, B&B's and some self-catering accommodation as well. What you select will depend on just how much you would like to spend.

Certainly if there is a large number of you going to be going to Bury St. Edmunds together then renting a self-catering cottage or house is a pretty good option. But if you are just taking your partner away for a romantic weekend then why not consider staying in one of the more luxurious hotels that this town has to offer. However, if you are on a budget a guesthouse or B&B may be the suitable option for you.

Below we take a look at just some of the many options available to you when it comes to you spending time in this town.

The Angel Hotel is located on one of the prettiest squares in this town and is known as Angel Hill. Unlike some of the other hotels where you can stay this one is a family run business so the attention you receive during your stay is very personal. Even so, this hotel has 75 rooms in which one can stay during your visit and all are very beautifully decorated.

Plus during your time in this hotel, it is a good idea to try out the hotels recently refurbished dining area (Angel Eaterie). All the food here is made on site each day and this includes the bread that is baked in the kitchen each day. Plus around 80% of all the ingredients used in the meals have been sourced locally.

Another hotel that you may wish to consider staying at during your time in Bury St. Edmunds is the Dog and Partridge. The hotel is an 18th Century building which was home of the chief brewer for the local beer company Greene King's. Although this hotel only has now rooms each has been delightfully restored and refurbished to a very high standard. The great thing about this hotel is that it is ideally located right in the heart of the town.

However, as mentioned previously if there are a large group of you intending to visit Bury St. Edmunds together, you may find it more cost effective to rent a self-catering accommodation instead. A quick look on the internet and you will find plenty of sites offering such accommodation, which one can book and stay in for the duration of your visit.

Once you have arranged where to stay in Bury St. Edmunds you can now start deciding what you will do once you visit there. There are plenty of attractions not only in Bury St Edmunds but the surrounding area, which you and those with you can enjoy. So it may well be that you have to come back several times in order to get the chance of doing everything that you want.
