How Internet Marketing Videos Can Get You Finally Started Selling Online

If you’re new to internet marketing, there is a lot to learn. Maybe you have been trying to learn from reading ebooks. Reading is a good way to get an overall view of any subject, and to begin to understand the basics. However, many beginning internet marketers, including myself, find themselves reading untold volumes of ebooks on internet marketing and still not knowing where or how to begin. The information can be overwhelming and downright confusing.

Many new marketers, as I did, have a difficult time understanding the technical “stuff” and the dream of selling online begins to seem more like a nightmare. For example, how to ftp your files to your website, how to chmod a file for security purposes, how to create an ebook, or how to create a pdf. And the list, a growing list, goes on and on.

When we read books or ebooks, we are only partially involved, and at times tuned out completely. I personally can read a whole page and not remember what I just read a minute ago, let alone days, weeks, or months ago.

For me, and I think for many new marketers, the answer is video learning. An educational study in the 1960’s reported that we only retain about 10 percent of what we read. While other forms of learning such as video and audio greatly increase that percentage by 5 times or more.

One advantage of video is that you can watch a procedure over and over as many times as you need to master it. You can watch as you perform the task in your own marketing work. There’s no worry of forgetting how to perform a step.

Also, while trying to learn to sell online, you can begin to feel that you’re alone and long for someone to guide you. Personal coaching is an option for some but can cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars, placing it out of reach of many new marketers.

Video learning on the other hand, gives you the feel very much of a personal coach, someone to help you along, only with unlimited patience. There’s no fear of annoying your coach with basic questions, one of the fears I had when presented with the opportunity of personal coaching. A personal coach is a human being with a limited amount of time to spend on each client, and a business of their own to run.

Another option is to buy the packages of some of the best internet marketers online. While I am sure there is a lot of good information in these packages, new marketers will benefit from an understanding of the basics of internet marketing, and will more likely be able to make better use of these packages when purchased, much the same as personal coaching. Without understanding the basics, many new marketers will not be able to make any use at all of some of these packages. I had access to advanced marketing techniques early on, but was completely clueless as to how to implement them.

I have found that video learning helped me to understand many concepts that I could not get a handle on just reading, even though the books contained basically the same information. I highly recommend videos for learning almost anything, and internet marketing in particular, since many of the concepts are completely new to the average person.

Once you have had good video training, the only thing left is doing. No more excuses. “Just do it.” Don’t give up your dream of selling online. Just try a different, more effective way of learning.
