Keep Your Eye On The Ball To Become An Affiliate Marketing Business Success Story

What does an affiliate marketing business have to do with baseball? Everything! Or at least in this case it does. Just bare with me for a moment.

To succeed in anything in life you have to focus on the fundamentals. There are simple success formulas all around us. All we have to do is find out the formulas from somebody who has done it before and copy there success formula. Just like when I was a boy and I was learning to hit a baseball. My coach would always say, “Keep your eye on the ball, just make contact.” Me and every other boy on the team were standing there waiting to hit the ball over the fences and we would all swing with everything we had… and miss the ball. Our goal was to hit a home run every time but without focusing on making contact with the ball our “home run swing” was a wasted effort.

This happens to affiliate marketing business owners all the time. They start out all fired up and excited, the can smell all that money they are going to make. And in all this excitement they fail to take care of the details “the fundamentals” that will take them to success. They don’t keep their eye on the ball. They don’t follow the success formula laid out before them. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Find a great system and work the system because systems work! Just find a proven, successful system that your comfortable with and work the system day by day by day until you reach your goals. I know that seems too simplistic but things can really be that easy if you will just get out of your own way so to speak and just don’t give up.

Many people have their eye on the end result instead of focusing on the fundamentals it takes to succeed. They try to cut corners in an attempt to speed up the success process and get the pay off and end up tripping over their own feet. It just does not work that way. Take your time and get all the details right, follow a proven successful system and then you will be in profit more quickly than you expected. Once you get the foundation for success laid, then there will be a snowball type effect. At first you will start to see a few positive things happening , then a few more and then Wow, things really start to take effect. Before you know it your on your way to great success.

It is very important to set goals and have a final destination in mind. You also must have a roadmap to get to where your going. Your proven, successful system is your roadmap. Then just focus on the small steps in your system to get from where you are to where you want to be. The process may seem a bit tedious at first but the big pay off in the end will make it more than worthwhile. And if you set up everything right in the beginning, you can run everything from anywhere in the world mostly on autopilot.

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Plan your work and work your plan. K.I.S.S. “keep it super simple”. Successful people do what the rest of us don’t want to do. These are just a few sayings that come to mind. It’s a good idea to remind yourself of these things every time things get tough or your thinking of giving up. As Ross Porot said, “Most people give up just when they are about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game, one foot from a winning touchdown.”
