There are many different ideas when it comes to entertainment, but for those hitting the clubs after working hours, it usually involves gathering with friends at the local watering hole, tipping back a few and listening to good music. Whether the sounds are being blasted by a DJ or the vibrations of live music is what moves you across the dance floor, finding the right place to party with friends are an important part of your entertainment choices.

Possibly the most difficult part of going out on the town with a group of friends is arriving at a consensus about where to go to find the best entertainment in town. This can actually take some time as the group debates the price of drinks, when happy hour ends and the type of music offered that they can dance with. For some clubbers listening and watching the band perform live on stage is part of the club experience, but for others, the source of the music is not as important as the beat, provided it puts them in the mood to show off their best dance moves.

The type of music everyone wants to hear and even feel is also part of the entertainment choice as some of your friends may be feeling a little melancholy trying to forget a recent break up and some others may want to celebrate. Unlike like the old television show "Cheer," going somewhere where everyone knows your name, especially when the party focuses on a half-dozen people sitting around the bar, most clubbers are looking for entertainment where some nights moving around the place can be a challenge.

The better the music and the value from the bar improves the fun, regardless of the type of entertainment you are hoping to find. However, once the time comes to party hard on weekends, you can be spending your time looking for the excitement of dancing and enjoying the company of not only your group of friends, but meeting new people as well. Crowded dance floors may not be everyone's forte, but for others, feeling hemmed in and part of the new group of new friends can turn an otherwise dull evening into a night of real entertainment.

Too many times though, people walk through the front door and hear the band playing loud, perhaps something that is not to their liking and turn around and head to another club in search of entertainment. It is almost a rule that when you first walk in you shouldn't judge a band on the first song you hear. Depending on the prices at the bar, you should give them at least one round to grip your feet with the music and after that, you just might decide to hang around.

If one of the members of your entertainment party is feeling a little down and wants to just sit around and mope, you should really try to improve their mood by dragging them out to the bar or club that offers upbeat music and good dancing. If it looks like there really isn't anyway you are going to improve their mood your choices becomes sticking by them and try to improve how they feel about themselves, or leave them at home while you and gang heads out to party.
