Did you know that the recent survey on around 1000 self directed IRA investors have shown that they more than 64% are interested in investment property for their retirement savings.

And that is not all. Only 7% of the self directed IRA investors selected traditional stock market and other bonds as their investment options. To add to it, a big percentage of that 7% kept it under consideration and not as a sure investment option.

The investment property is still running high in public choice though we have seen real estate downturn in recent years (experts say that last year our real estate market completed its 7 year life cycle). The basic reason is still the security offered by the real estate market over other options.

However it must be mentioned here that a lot of people gained huge profit from this real estate dip. As the real estate prices were going down a lot of investors took the opportunity to invest in the real estate market. They knew very well that the price will not go down always and they will make huge profits later on.

Thos who did not had enough money to invest in bigger real estate deals, joined different investment clubs to grab the most out of the real estate market. In fact for some people, this is a life time opportunity.

Especially those who are investing their self directed IRA in real estate market could think of nothing else as a better investment opportunity.

Though the National Associating of Realtors predicted that the number of members would go down owing to the real estate dip, the condition did not turn so serious. That who feared the dip and had no other option but selling the property, made a few looses. But this loss was not due to the market alone. It is more because they could not take the best decision at the right time.

It often happens when you invest in the real estate market as an individual. Things could turn different and in your favor if you joined an investment club or consulted some well experienced real estate broker. As a matter of fact a lot of people saved their hard earned money owing to the consultancy from his or her investment club (without spending a single Dollar) or real estate broker.

A lot of real estate brokers and market experts blame it on to some media houses for the real estate dip. They claim that there were no occasion for the dip and everything started from a rumor published in a daily newspaper. People started believing in that rumor and a lot of similar news followed which ultimately resulted into this unwanted real estate dip.

Many real estate brokers say that, the rumor mainly affected the singletons. And in their hurry to sell their real estate created the disappointment in the market.

However, those days of uncertainty is over now and people are back in to their business. The survey result points to the same direction where people are ready for investment property. Seasoned investors still believe that real estate is still the ultimate destination for high yield investments.

There is another good news for the market. Experts predict that the self directed IRA market will double its volume in next five years. This simply means that a lot of money is going to flow in the real estate market which would further boost the market to achieve a new level.
