Smoky mountains of Western North Carolina might be just what you need; small town friendly or big town excitement. Whether your style is relaxing under the stars or relaxing in a four star luxury suite the neighbors of the Blue Ridge have a way of making visitors feel like home folk. Accommodations range from small country inns and cozy cabins to fine hotels and grand resorts. The choices for your family vacation or a romantic getaway destination are limitless.

Hotels and Motels

As a major vacation destination the North Carolina Blue Ridge mountains have hundreds of hotel and motel rooms to choose from, you'll have no trouble finding exactly what you're looking for.
You’ll find it easy to arrange and book your reservations. Just do a search for Carolina Blue Ridge hotels to find special deals on lodging . The Blue Ridge has every kind of room you might look for from discount economy lodging to high end world class hotels and spa resorts like the world famous Grove Park Inn.

Several hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport and most all offer free guest parking although some will have certain restrictions . Several hotels offer free breakfast. Often this is a continental breakfast or just coffee and donuts.

Several hotels might require a minimum age. Usually children under 12 years of age stay for free in their parent's room using the existing bedding although most hotels offer rollaway beds and cribs. Many hotels and motels in the mountains will let you have your pets, the restrictions will vary but small pets are usually not a problem.

Your stay at a hotel may also include high-speed Internet access, refrigerator, microwave, coffee, iron, hair dryer, voice mail and spacious laptop work desk as an amenities.

Bed and Breakfast Inns

Time stands still in the mountains. For that special mountain getaway escape into timeless comfort at one of the many cozy B&Bs or small country inns. Wake up each morning to the smell of a down home old fashioned style breakfast being prepared just for you. Spend a relaxing afternoon napping in a rocking chair by a creek that gently washes the everyday worries from your mind.

Bed & breakfasts and small country inns are Ideal for traveling couples and can offer old style country side charm along with modern amenities such as private porches, hot tubs, and gas fireplaces.

Many B&Bs in the Carolina Blue Ridge are like a step back in time and all have a story to tell. Just ask your hosts. You will find that they are a wealth of information not only about local lore but they are a great source for helping to plan your day giving you a relaxed and personalized touch that will stay with you for a long time.

Room rates run about the same as those at chain motels however, mountain B&B lodging is usually away from town,

Cabin rentals

Slow down. Relax on a welcoming porch of a comfortable cabin as you watch a Blue Ridge sunset.

Cabin Rentals offer the old time charm of a Bed and Breakfast plus the solitude of a hotel suite. Mountain cabins usually rent by the week and can be one or two rooms to airy mountain chalets with accommodations for your whole family or even a small group of friends.

Many of these chalets are beautifully decorated with spacious interiors and feature large decks, full kitchens, fireplaces, Jacuzzis, hot tubs, and game tables. Some are even equipped with wide screen TV's, satellite TV, wired and wireless DSL internet service, & many other amenities.

Mountain cabins are an easy way to spend time in the mountains. Rental cabins are there for your vacation comfort and are always located close to activities. You can save a good bit of money when you take into account the money you’ll save by cooking your own meals, bringing your own entertainment such as movies or video games even sharing the cost of gas by carpooling to and from activities.

The Carolina Blue Ridge is one of the few places where you can experience the best of all four seasons, from the lazy blue daysof summer to the inspiring colors of fall, to the quiet silence of snow in the winter, and the new hope of spring. No matter what your reason for staying in the Carolina Blue Ridge you'll always find a reason to come back for more Blue Ridge memories.
