June weather in Las Vegas starts out hot and only gets much hotter. The average daily high in the beginning of the month is a fairly pleasant 94, but by the end of the month the normal high is above 100. The normal low ranges starts at 68, and ends up at 76, so try to plan your outdoor activities for early in the day. Record highs are above in the mid 110's by the end of the month, once the temperature exceeds 105 or so even the wind won’t cool you, and around 110 a breeze can feel like a blow dryer. Record low temperatures in Las Vegas in June range from 50 to 60. The typical gap between high and low is about 25 degrees, so leaving your hotel room wearing a light jacket for an early morning walk or early tee time, and taking it off an hour or two later is common, especially early in June. By the end of the month you can leave your jacket home.

With these conditions it is essential that you remain fully hydrated. Carry water with you if you are walking outside (for less expensive water purchase it at one of the pharmacies located on the Strip instead of in the hotel gift shops). Don’t wait until you start feeling sick to drink water, by then you may have a serious medical problem.

June weather in Las Vegas is normally very dry, with the lowest humidity levels of the year and little precipitation. Yes, it's hot, but it's a dry heat, and the low humidity does make a difference. Ninety degrees Fahrenheit is sweltering in Orlando, but it’s actually nice when the humidity is barely above single digits in Las Vegas in June. By comparison, July and August are slightly hotter but quite a bit more humid, and people can really suffer during most of the day. June averages one thunderstorm a month, and it hasn't hailed in Las Vegas in June since 1970. Wind, as always, is a mild threat to your day.

Father's Day in Las Vegas will see a normal high of 100, with very low humidity and a very low chance of rain. If dad can get on a golf course make sure he gets an early tee time and brings water. Not beer, water.

By the end of June you will really want to carefully plan your outdoor activities. Early tee times are highly recommended. Waling, running, or biking are more comfortable early in the day, and verge on being dangerous in the middle of the day. Be careful to drink lots of water and to use a powerful sunscreen. Swimming is always possible in June in Las Vegas and swimming is a great way to cool own.

Cool and casual clothes are very common in Las Vegas in June, and suits and ties are only worn for the most formal business meetings. You can feel comfortable wearing shorts in just about every restaurant in Las Vegas in June, but don't wear tattered shorts and a tank top when you eat at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
