If it’s a popular forum, the link might even get picked up in certain search engines. Not only can you get the people visiting the forum to go to your website, but maybe possible outside users as well. At the very least you are creating back links to your site each time you post and this will help in search engine rankings for your site.

It has to be said that forum marketing is just an all round great way to promote your website and business and your products and services. You therefore don’t want to dismiss this easy and free way of marketing.
