If you're thinking of travelling to Wollongong, then here are a few tips for your stay. Many cheap hotels can be found in the popular Australian city of Wollongong. It is the third largest city in the state of New South Wales, after Sydney and Newcastle. Wollongong is unique in that it is very modern but also has the charm of a small city. It has much to offer and is becoming a very popular city for families to settle in.

It is just a short jaunt to Sydney up the coast. Wollongong has a great history and some wonderful beaches. In fact a lot of surfers even make the trip from Sydney each weekend to ride the uncrowded waves. If the great outdoors is your thing, then Wollongong might well be worth a visit. There are also a ton of different boating and beach tour companies who can show you the best spots and take you away from the regular tourist jaunts.

On the other hand, a lot of industry is moving to Wollongong due to the great business infrastructure and cheaper prices than Sydney. This has lead to a major upturn in the business travel sector which is great news for other tourists too. It means that the supply of cheap hotels as well as other amenities such as nice restaurants and bars have started to spring up throughout the city. Add the close proximity of Sydney which is only an hour away by train, and staying in Newcastle begins to look pretty attractive.

You can find a cheap hotel in Wollongong to meet any budget. Some of the Hotels you will find in Wollongong include:

Bellmore All Suite: Offers comfort but with a touch of luxury. The suites are huge and will remind you of home. You will find spas’ and saunas onsite. The hotel does not offer a dining facility. Several fine dining restaurants are located nearby and the CBD is a short walk from the hotel.

Comfort Inn Fairways Resort: if you like to golf then the Comfort Inn Fairways is the place to stay for you. Very close to award winning golf the hotel also offers tennis and swimming. You will have a wonderful dining and nightlife experience in the hotels club Ciantis. Just minutes from the heart of the city the Comfort Inn offers the best in a cheap hotel in Wollongong. You will feel secluded and safe staying here.

Novotel North beach Hotel: This four star hotel is located right on the beach and offers fantastic modern rooms. Your family will enjoy the children’s club pool, tennis courts, a gym, sauna, and whirlpool. Babysitting is available so the adults can go have an evening of dancing and dining. The hotel has two bars including a beach bar and the heralded Windjammers restaurant.

These are just a few of the cheap hotels available in Wollongong. The Wollongong area is becoming increasingly popular with immigrants from around the world. It is home to the largest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere.
